Myths and Facts About Outdoor Camping
Camping is an activity that is
like by a lot of people and it is a favorite outdoor activity for a lot of
people. At the same time, there are many who feel skeptical about the idea of
outdoor camping, mostly pertaining to certain myths surrounding camping.
Here are some of those myths
debunked:
It is expensive
Outdoor camping would get only as
expensive as you’d like it to be. A good planning, preparation, and clever
shopping could make a huge difference. You could buy luxury resort tent at garage sales, or clearance sales and save a lot of
money. You’d also need cooking utensils, camping stoves, and chairs, and you
could start camping with an initial budget of $100 – 200.
One’d have to travel long
distance to find great campsites
This is the same as the previous
myth – you can travel as long as you want, it is up to you. But it isn’t true
that one necessarily has to travel long distances to find great campgrounds. It
is very possible that you are living just a few miles away from a great
campground. Only when you want to do camping at a really exotic place, would
you have to travel long distances, and even then, it is possible that you are
living at an exotic place. It is all about proper research. Just buy a luxury wedding tent
and other camping gears, and search online for a great campground near your
place, and you’d be amazed to find many.
